it's been ages since i last blog something here. Fortunately (or Unfortunately), nothing much has change. National service is about reaching its halfway stage and when a certain event reaches its halfway mark you kinda have the tendency to look back n see what has happen. Firstly, I wanna thank God that He has placed me in the air force. That is one thing i cant stop thanking Him for. Though work has been tough it is awesome to see God's grace being shown in my life.
There are 3 things in particular that kinda made an impact in my life this year. Firstly, it was my cell group. i really feel that our cell has started to grow into a more open and more transparent group. the study on the book of Ecclesiates had indeed made our group understand life better in man's aspect. I mean most of the people in our cell are brought up in a christian family, knowing God n Jesus Christ at such a young age, it's kinda hard for us to see things in a non-christian perspective. it was also a time where our group opened up and really discuss hard on issues that always been on our mind. Thank God for such an incredible breakthru!
Secondly would definately be BSF(Bible Study Fellowship). Being in BSF enables me to study the bible more indepth, it also gave me an interlacual understanding of the bible where i often lack. because i'm more of an emotional person, i tend to be more affected by what i feel and believe than what i see n understand. In BSF, i am made to understand what i read in the bible which in the past my understanding of the bible was shallow and superfical. The word of God = Jesus... therefore the only way to know our Saviour deeper is to know the Word of God too.
Thirdly, the recently ended church camp.. what an awesome, incredible and marvellous time it was at the resort! not only the programs were fun, everyone went there with the same objective in mind n that is to experience God in His miraclous ways. And boy did He did that! everyone from the youngest of youth to the eldest of council shared what has been on their hearts for years. n the people of the Lord response the way only God could have and that was with grace and love, and that we will move forward together with the pastor n the council of our church. the youths especially really touched me. Cos all these while i was finding the hard to work together with them, but i never realised that they actually wanted help but just dont know where and who to look for. It convicted me that i haven been doing my job as well as i should be. Oh Lord forgive me for being a servant without an understanding and senstive heart for Your people. Praise be to God for His wonderful and awesome work during the camp.
one thing i'd love to do is to blog more often and have my regular readers come back. surprisingly, even i myself haven been visiting my own blog that my last entry had inspiring effect on me..
God Bless!
